Follow Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second part of a two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical. It was first announced in April 2022 that Wicked would be split into two films. Composer Stephen Schwartz explained: “The truth is, for a while we tried to make it one movie, which meant we had to leave out or omit things that we wanted to include and that we thought the fans would enjoy from the show and the story they enjoy.” He added: “It was very difficult for us to get through ‘Defying Gravity’ without stopping.
